Flapjack Biscuits

A fast child-friendly recipe that you can make with kids, a cross between a flapjack and a cookie!

  • 75 g plain flour or wholemeal
  • 1 tsp baking powder
  • 75 g porridge oats
  • 35 g caster sugar
  • 75 g butter
  • 1 tbsp golden syrup
  • 2 tbsp milk or soy milk


  • Preheat oven to gas mark 4 / 180'C / 350 'F, line 2 baking sheets with parchment paper
  • Put all dry ingredients (flour, baking powder, oats, caster sugar) in one bowl.
  • Put butter, golden syrup and milk in a small saucepan and melt. (don't boil it!)
  • Tip the butter mixture in the dry ingredient bowl and mix well.
  • Spoon onto the lined baking sheets to make little rounds
  • Bake for 10 - 15 minutes, or until it's golden.
