A fast child-friendly recipe that you can make with kids, a cross between a flapjack and a cookie!
- 75 g plain flour or wholemeal
- 1 tsp baking powder
- 75 g porridge oats
- 35 g caster sugar
- 75 g butter
- 1 tbsp golden syrup
- 2 tbsp milk or soy milk
Preheat oven to gas mark 4 / 180'C / 350 'F, line 2 baking sheets with parchment paper
Put all dry ingredients (flour, baking powder, oats, caster sugar) in one bowl.
Put butter, golden syrup and milk in a small saucepan and melt. (don't boil it!)
Tip the butter mixture in the dry ingredient bowl and mix well.
Spoon onto the lined baking sheets to make little rounds
Bake for 10 - 15 minutes, or until it's golden.
